In the week, domestic toluene slid quickly, the dealing price in Jiangsu of E-China was decreased from Yuan 9,200-9,250/mt to Yuan 9,000/mt, and the weekly drop was about Yuan 200/mt. Toluene price in S-China slid from Yuan 9,500-9,600/mt to Yuan 9,400/mt, and the daily drop was around Yuan 100/mt. Sinopec East Branches and South Branches decreased toluene price more or less, which aggravated the falling market sentiment.

 

   As the sources distributed in different areas, the market burdened varied pressures in different areas. Meanwhile, toluene market embodied the regional features: transportations were restrained in NE-China, especially the embargo on hazardous chemicals in Beijing and Tianjin- the cardinal areas to N-China and E-China market had become the largest unfavorable factor for NE-China sources;  threatened by the lower sources from North China and Northwest China, it appeared periodical speculation in E-China market; the market demand was tight while the supply was too abundant in N-China; toluene was greatly influenced by the importing goods in S-China market. Analyzing the whole market basis, toluene price would go on dropping in the market.

 

   Domestic market of xylene also went down influenced by downward toluene market, and the dealing price in Jiangsu of E-China decreased from Yuan 9,550-9,600/mt to Yuan 9,450-9,500/mt, and the weekly drop was Yuan 100/mt. The drop of xylene offer in Sinopec East Branches aggravated the falling trend of xylene market. Due to the tight sources in S-China, most traders strengthened their offers, and the offers were stable and carried out at Yuan 9,850-9,950/mt. Dragged by the slipping toluene market, traders were all in pessimistic sentiment. The sources were few in the market and the demand was not improved due to the coming Olympic Games. Most traders lowered their prices slightly as the sales were unsmooth in the market. According to our research, slight drop of the market would be likely in the following market.
